What do you envision for the wedding? This is your opportunity to get on the same page with each other before others impose their opinions on you. If you set clear priorities, it will act as a guide to make decisions about the wedding.

2. Draft a guest list

Next stop is to draft a guest list. It will surprise how quickly people add up. This is when you can decide how you will deal with plus ones, children, and how far down the family tree you are willing to invite. For the first draft, list everyone that you would want there and some of your may be invites. Then add it up and see if you are willing to have that many people. You can then make edits to the guest list. The next point may also influence your guest list.

3. Determine your overall budget

Next up is how much money do you want to spend on your wedding? Set a range that makes you comfortable. This is the time to consider financial presents from others. Will you be receiving any money from others and what, if any, are the expectations with that money? The size of your guest list will affect your overall budget. The fastest way to bring down expenses is to cut down your guest list.
