In Calgary, there are a number of old warehouse buildings that have been turned into venues. And The Commons is one of those. The mix of brick and chandeliers lends itself to vintage designs but also modern ones.

When I first recieved the inquiry from Monica and Chandler, I did a double take. Was it spam? Or did two people named Chandler and Monica find each other and fall in love. Well, I'm sure you can guess which one it was.

While we leaned into the Friends theme, we didn't fully rely on it for their design. Instead, we created a fall-esque design and used the font from Friends. Monica and Chandler also incorporated the theme into the entrance and their ceremony, which got the guests laughing.

From the beginning, I knew that Monica and Chandler would want some non-traditional touches to their day. One of these was bringing in a coffee cart for their guests. A large portion of their guests didn't drink alcohol so we wanted something for them to feel included. And well, Chandler loves coffee so we leaned into that. And let me tell you, it was a hit! Here's to embracing the things you love and bringing them to your wedding.
